Prepare the casserole:

Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (355°F).
Prepare the potatoes:
Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
Heat a little vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
Add the potato slices, season with salt and ground black pepper to taste and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until slightly tender. Remove from the heat and set aside.
