4. Prepare the Lime Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, lime juice, and tequila (if using). You can adjust the consistency of the glaze by adding more lime juice for a thinner glaze or more powdered sugar for a thicker glaze.
Stir in the orange liqueur for an extra citrusy flavor, if desired.
5. Garnish the Cake:
Once the cake has cooled, drizzle the lime glaze over the top of the cake.
Sprinkle the cake with coarse sea salt around the edges to mimic the salted rim of a margarita.
Garnish with lime wedges on the sides for a finishing touch.
6. Serve:
Slice and serve the Margarita Cake with a cold drink to complement the flavors. It’s perfect for a summer BBQ, party, or any celebration!
