DIY and gardening tools easily get rusty. The solution to remove rust from iron depends on the type of tool:
To remove rust stains from small tools, simply soak them in a bucket of vinegar overnight. The next day, you can clean them with laundry detergent.
For larger tools, start by scrubbing the rust stains with medium-grit sandpaper. Then, fill a 1.5-litre bucket with coke and soak the tools in it overnight. The rust will be gone by morning. Vinegar is also an eco-friendly, cost-effective and very effective option.
