The bathroom is one of the environments that tends to get dirty more quickly, due to the bacteria it accumulates, the soap that sticks to the tiles and the drops of water that, when drying, leave the annoying stains of limescale which makes the shower glass opaque.
Water contains calcium, but also other minerals such as iron which, in contact with air, rusts, creating stains which, over time, become more and more difficult to remove.
There are many products intended for glass descaling, but almost all contain toxic ingredients that can cause eye, skin, or respiratory irritation. The ideal is to open the bathroom windows to let the air circulate, or to use natural, inexpensive ingredients that are harmless to our health.
Water and white vinegar
You need:
250ml of water
250 ml of white vinegar
the juice of a lemon
Pour all the ingredients into a spray bottle, shake well and spray on the shower door glass. Leave to act for 10 minutes, then use a sponge to clean thoroughly and remove limescale.
Then pour water over the glass to rinse, then wipe with a clean cloth and make a final pass with newspaper to polish the glass.
White vinegar and baking soda
Heat about 250ml of water, then pour into a spray bottle, add two tablespoons of white vinegar and two of baking soda.
Spray the solution all over the shower glass and leave it for 15 minutes, then scrub well with a sponge to remove all the limescale.
Finally, dry well with a microfiber cloth. Apply this technique at least once a week.
