Grind coconut shreds in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown, just before serving. To add another dimension of taste and texture to the Pineapple Dream that has been cooled, sprinkle the Pineapple Dream with the toasted coconut.

For a decorative touch, you may top the dessert with fresh pineapple slices or cherries. This step is completely optional. Cut into squares and serve cold, relishing the delectable mix of the rich filling and the taste of the tropical pineapple.
