INSTRUCTIONS:
1st Step
To begin, preheat the oven to 350F (175C). This will make sure it’s prepped when your meatloaf is ready to go into the oven.
2nd Step
Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, milk, ketchup, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
3rd Step
To ensure that all of the ingredients are well blended, use your hands to do so. Overmixing might result in a tough meatloaf, so be cautious. Fill a baking dish or a loaf pan with the meat mixture. Form it into a loaf and spread it evenly in the pan.
4th Step
Create the glaze by combining the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard in a small bowl.
Coat the meatloaf with the glaze and bake as directed. The savory pork and cheese benefit from this addition of sweetness and tartness.
5th Step
Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until an instant-read thermometer registers 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 degrees Celsius) in the center. It’s important to brown the meatloaf and cook it all the way through, and for the glaze to caramelize.
6th Step
Take the meatloaf out of the oven and set it on a cooling rack for ten minutes. As a result, the meatloaf retains more of its natural moisture. Serve it sliced up in big chunks.
Made this for Sunday football and it was a major hit! No leftovers!
