For “everyday” glasses, such as B. water glasses, the technique of storing them upside down is the easiest and   most hygienic   . This avoids re-washing before use and ensures a sufficient level of hygiene.

However, this technique is not suitable for more delicate items such as   stemware   , champagne glasses and crystal glasses. Their delicate edges do not support the weight of the glass and could be damaged if stored upside down.

How to approach the trickiest places

The upside down storage method is perfect for the glasses we use every day. However, when it comes to glass and crystal objects, this preservation method is not effective.

The best solution for this type of glasses is to store them   vertically  to avoid damaging the edges. This can help you avoid having to repair or replace glasses due to storage damage.

If you are worried about dust on glasses stored upright, you can simply cover them with a  cloth to protect them  . This is particularly practical for wine glasses, as they can be safely turned upside down thanks to the hanging on the stem.

In addition, there are special  cabinets   for storing glasses, especially wine glasses. These cabinets are used for safe storage, preventing damage and maintaining hygiene.
