Soak the drying plate.
A drying plate can do wonders for burned parts – we’ve seen it! Fill the pot with hot water, add a fabric softener sheet (submerge it under water to completely saturate it.) and wait a few hours before using the fabric softener to remove debris. We understand that this method may not be suitable for everyone, as many prefer to stay away from chemicals on dry sheets.
Boil the lemons.
Is there anything lemons can’t do? The idea is that the acid of two to three quarters of a lemon is enough to remove the burnt bits and little or no cleaning is necessary. Let the lemons boil in a few inches of water for 5 to 10 minutes, then drain the water and lemons and rinse.
Rub the pan with foil.
This method won first place in our official competition for the best way to clean burnt pans . Sprinkle plenty of baking soda over the burnt bits and add a little water to make a paste. Crumple the foil and scrub it until all food and stains are clean. Rinse the pan with warm, soapy water.
