How to avoid wasting oil and getting grease on the bottle
How many times will it have happened to you to pick up your oil bottle and find it greasy? It is something that happens to everyone because inevitably when we handle the packaging of this condiment, our hands become impregnated with the product and this then transfers to everything we touch such as the bottle itself that contains it.
This detail is particularly annoying because whether it is glass, plastic or tin, the oily residue that remains on it makes it difficult to use the product. Fear not, today’s trick reveals just how to avoid this.
We take a cotton pad of the kind used for removing make-up, fold it in half and then in half again, then cut off the central edge. We should now have obtained the shape of a doughnut, so a hole in the centre.
Now all we have to do is insert the wadding disc around the spout of the oil bottle, so that if any residue leaks out, the absorbent material it is made of will catch it, leaving the bottle dry and ready to use.
Periodically we can then change the disc. This method is simple and ingenious, and also inexpensive, just think that a packet of 100 discs is just over 1 dollar.
