Lacey Chabert: A Shining Star Beyond Mean Girls
Famous for her roles in “Mean Girls” and “Party of Five,” actress Lacey Chabert has evolved beyond her younger self.
Shifting Spotlight
At the height of her “Mean Girls” fame, Chabert seemed poised to continue her rise, but her co-star Rachel McAdams emerged as Hollywood’s favorite, starring in hits like “Spotlight,” “Wedding Crashers,” and “The Notebook.” Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan also maintained their prominence, leaving fans wondering what happened to Chabert. She found her calling in a different path.
A Change in Priorities
In September 2016, Chabert welcomed her first child, Julia Mimi Bella. Anticipating her daughter’s arrival, Chabert entered full nesting mode, preparing the nursery and discussing the upcoming changes with her Chihuahua, Kitty. Motherhood likely shifted her priorities, as she balanced life as a working mom and her new professional path, evidenced by her 16th Hallmark film by late 2018. Chabert told the Clarion Ledger in November 2018, “If you had told me two years ago that this is what my career would look like today, I think I would’ve been surprised, but it’s such a great fit for who I am and where I am in my life right now.”
