Talc in household chores – here’s where you can use it
As we said, talcum powder can be used to clean the stainless steel sink and is therefore also good for other surfaces of the same material. But there are also other ways to use it, here are some of them :
talc
Wardrobe deodorizer : When clothes are left in cabinets or drawers for a long time, especially when completely closed, bad odors or mold can form. To eliminate them, you can use talcum powder by pouring it into a bowl and placing it in the cabinet to diffuse the scent.
Removing Grease Stains : When you cook or eat, sometimes oil or other grease gets on your clothes. To remove them, simply take a sponge and some talcum powder. Pour plenty of talcum powder onto the stain, leave to act for a few seconds then rub gently with a brush. This way the stain will disappear but it is important to remember that this method only works if the stain is fresh.
clean windows with talcum powder
Clean mirrors and windows : simply take a spray bottle and fill it with 350 ml of warm water and 1 tablespoon of talcum powder. Mix well each time before use because talc does not dissolve. Spray on the glass and dry it immediately with a dry microfiber cloth. Then wipe with a dust cloth to remove talc residue.
Anti-ant repellent : if ants have arrived at your home you can use talcum powder instead of commercial chemicals. Just place it in corners or along walls, the smell is unpleasant for these insects.
